Proprietary Potassium iodide/selenium blend

Nuke Protect™, from North American Herb & Spice, is specifically designed to help protect the body against harmful radiation. Additionally, the proprietary blend of all-natural spice extracts is a powerful source of antioxidants. Exposure to radioactivity greatly increases the need for antioxidants. Antioxidants are also a potent weapon in the fight against cancer-causing free radicals – charged molecules that cause chemical damage in the human body.

Potassium iodide is one of the main ingredients. The June 11, 2002 Washington Post states that Potassium iodide, “is the only medication for internal radiation exposure.” Furthermore, according to this source, it prevents, “thyroid cancer by shielding the thyroid from radioactive iodine.” This is critical when considering the information found in Volume 274 of the New England Journal of Medicine. Page 1442 of the journal states that, “the thyroid is especially vulnerable to atomic injury since radioactive isotopes of iodine are a major component of fallout.” With threats of radioactive attacks always looming, this product is quickly becoming a necessity.

In addition to Potassium iodide, Nuke Protect™ includes selenium yeast. Selenium is a critical trace mineral for the normal functioning of the immune system and thyroid gland. Our research shows that selenium yeast is the most bioavailability and protective of all forms of the mineral. The National Institutes of Health states on its website that selenium “is an important part of antioxidant enzymes that protect cells against the effects of free radicals that are produced during normal oxygen metabolism.” According to the website, “some studies indicate that mortality (death) from cancer, including lung, colorectal, and prostate cancers, is lower among people with higher selenium blood levels or intake.” These benefits along with the fact that research indicates selenium to be a crucial component in fighting radiation toxicity, make it the ideal complement to Potassium iodide when attempting to protect against a radiological attack.

Nuke protect™ also includes wild pacific kelp. This kelp is naturally rich in iodine, sea minerals and chlorides, all of which are very protective against radiation toxicity. These components work synergistically to support normal thyroid function. In addition, the kelp in Nuke Protect™ is free of heavy metal contaminants, which is a major problem with commercially harvested kelp.

Besides these potentially critical benefits, Nuke Protect™ includes wild rosemary, rhus coriaria (mountain berry), St. John’s Wort and black seed. Wild rosemary and St. John’s Wort are renowned for their high antioxidant levels while Rhus coriaria offers a rich array of strength-promoting and anti-toxic flavonoids including malic, tannic and gallic acids. Rhus coriaria also includes a naturally occurring Vitamin C. The final herb, black seed, is added for its ability to boost the immune system.

Directions: Take 2 capsules twice daily with or without meals. Take more if needed.
